Hallo, a new question appears, sorry:
)
......Following new idea:
Let's say the stucture of my videos are: Name - aaa - bbb.
For the first part "Name", we have the shortcut above.
Is it also possible to have a shortcut for the second part of the name of the video, in this case "aaa"?........

Thanks a lot in advance for your help and best regards

Is it also possible to have a shortcut for the second part of the name of the video, in this case "aaa"?

Please try the following bookmark search:

Code: Select all

/copy $name:
/new-tab
/set-search <regexextract:$clipboard:,".*? - (.*?) - ">

When I tested the above code, I said it's running fine, but when i tried this search today, it changed the "View" from "Details" (which I would like to get), to "Medium Thumbnails" (which does not give a fine overview).
Would you have a look on the code, please.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help and best regards

The code is fine, it's likely the bookmark view setting: (Bookmarks -> Organize bookmarks -> Select bookmark -> Edit...)
image.png
Please adjust the View to: Thumbnails (64 x 64) (Medium)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi void,

sorry, but a new question appears:
As music fan i love to categorize my music-files as much as possible.
Recently there was list in the magazine "musikexpress" with the 500 best CD's / LP's of all time.
So, i have had a look to my music archive and gave the existing ones at the end of the corresponding music folders the following additions: e.g. (MuEx001), (MuEx002) and so on, always in brackets.
Is it possible to get a search for this, displaying first (MuEx001) and then (MuEx002) and so on?

That would be great!
Thanks a lot in advance for help and best regards

Please try the following search to sort by musikexpress order:

Code: Select all

regex:\(MuEx(\d+)\) sort:1
regex: = enable regular expressions
\( = match a literal (
MuEx = match MuEx
( ) = capture the match
\d+ = match a number
\) = match a literal )
sort:1 = sort by the captured number

Whow, nearly perfect!!
If i use this search Music with 2 (or more CD's) are displayed above the main entry.
...and how to store it as bookmark.

I hope I’m not getting on your nerves.....

Thanks in advanve for help and best regards

If i use this search Music with 2 (or more CD's) are displayed above the main entry.
Try limiting the match to folder names only:
folder:regex:name:\(MuEx(\d+)\) sort:1

To add this as a bookmark:
  • In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add to bookmarks....
  • Set the Name, for example:
    Musikexpress Sort
  • Set the Search, for example:
    folder:regex:name:\(MuEx(\d+)\) sort:1
  • Click OK.
Bookmarks can be managed under Bookmarks -> Organize bookmarks.

Hi void,

that's strange:
I have added the bookmark as you suggested, the bookmark is existing.
But when i type MuEx in the "search", it is not sorted starting with MuEx001.
When i put the string "regex:\(MuEx(\d+)\) sort:1" directly into the "search", all is fine.
But a bookmark would be really helpful.

Thanks for your help in advance and best regards

Try a filter instead:
  • In Everything, from the Search menu, click Add to Filters....
  • Set the Name, for example:
    Musikexpress Sort
  • Set the Search, for example:
    folder:regex:name:\(MuEx(\d+)\) sort:1
  • Click OK.
Activate this filter from the Search menu.
