open multiple winword.exe process in everything and EXPLORER, bad experience.

system: win10 1903 office: Office15
case1:
1. open 1.docx in everyting tool.
2. open the same 1.docx in windows explorer.
3. then winword open a warning: 1.docx is locked, can not edit...
4. open Windows task manager: there are 2 winword.exe processes running...

case2:
1. open 5 docx files in everything, for example, 1.docx , 2.docx, 3.docx, 4.docx, 5.docx.
2. open another docx file in windows explorer, for example: 6.docx.
3. There is a certain probability winword open a left side dialog: several documents are not saved, will you save them....
4. open Windows task manager: there are 2 winword.exe processes running...

I think there are conflicts between everything and windows explorer on win10 system, because I do not find these issues on win7 system.

Thank you for your post.

This can occur if you run Everything as an administrator.

Please try running Everything as a standard user:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab on the left.
  • Check Everything service.
  • Uncheck Run as administrator.
  • Click OK.
  • Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
  • Restart Everything.
Does the issue persist?
