Is there a way to revert the UI to the way 1.4 has it? I use high DPI on Windows (200%) and 1.5 has large column text. If I adjust the UI scale it makes the results smaller and then I can't see them clearly.

Everything was multiplying the font height by your system scaling twice..
Please try the latest Everything 1.5 Alpha.
Please reset your scale to 100%.
