When I click on a Word file in Everything it opens in a new instance, which means that it has to load the whole Word program again before opening the file; and worse, it locks my Normal template and requires a bunch of calisthenics to close the file again (I have to save Normal.dotm under a new name). No other program does this -- Explorer and explorer substitutes like xplorer2 just open files in the existing Word instance. Is there a way to fix this? (I"m using Word 2010 and Windows 7.)
