Might you have had that indexed (previously) as a Folder Index in Everything?

What is a "vault folder"?

What happens when you get this "out of memory error"?
Is it Everything that crashes?

If you load a few hundred video thumbs in Windows Explorer, do you get anything similar?

I might now be running into this. Win10, SeaMonkey 2.53.7b1. In this instance, I do not have myself "always logged in" (i.e., at some point login would expire, & I'd have to log back in, but this is different). I believe it has to do with the &sid=0c11e56e227de3b786b9fe10ac7b3600 that is generated? ...

Are you using Everything Service or running As Administrator? If the latter, try the former. Working here, XP, & pretty sure it's also working in Win7 too. Also bitness may be making a difference, so try 64-bit Everything & 64-bit LSE or 32 & 32. Oh, you're not using LSE, or maybe you are? Anyhow, L...

So the wildcards you specify (* or .*) need to match how you're searching ("Windows" or RegEx).

I'll just babble... mpv.net incorporates Everything. (Actually, I'm not really sure how, have never actually used that feature.) That might help. Nothing happens except for a temporary response, display in the Everything statusbar, so you need to be looking there.

Do thumbnail preview display for you in Windows Explorer?

There certainly would be times where you'd want to delete some duplicates, but would not necessarily want the (sole) remaining file to "disappear" (even though it is no longer a duplicate) - say, as a frame of reference.

In the future version, during an Everything session (so long as Everything remains open & running), renames & deletes will be logged (also allowing potential undo rename/delete). Double check that you are still using the Everything Service & not running "As Administrator".

Note that the "suggested" Old/New format: need not necessarily be used - you can roll your own. In the above mp3 example, %1 - %2 - %3.flac, Old: %1.flac New: Hackers - %1.flac would have worked just as well. Or you could make other adjustments that better fit your needs. You have a broad search, train. You do not want anything more refined at that point, just train. You're presented with a list of 50,000 hits. red trains, blue trains, the little train that could... You're sorted, alpha or otherwise, perhaps by size... You're at the top of your list, 'a little train ...
