Files with partly same names
Hi I am facing an issue when searching for files that have partly same names. Example: aaa .nameA.cbr aaa .nameB.cbr bbb .nameC.cbr bbb .nameD.cbr I was expecting namepartdupe: to show me these 4 files in the results, since they do share a part of the filename. In this example i found dupe: and name...

Show Relative Path in Path column
Can i make the path column display relative path only when searching within a specified directory. I ask because when I have restricted the search location, seeing the full path beside every result seems unnecessary. Consider this example C:\Program Files\ contains a folder WindowsPowerShell , which...

Sort Multiple Columns
Hi Is the ability to sort multiple columns there in everything? An example for the same https://steamdb.info/sales/ You can see the message "Hold shift to sort multiple columns" and it works beautifully, I have actually came across situations where its needed in search everything. If you think about...

Re: Find files with the exact same filename (extensions may differ)
i just tried your suggestion and it actually serves me pretty well. It took me a while to realize how it really works, the specified location actually helps to a great extent, it restricts everything to search for identical names from that location this is what i understood it matches filenames from...

Re: Find files with the exact same filename (extensions may differ)
Man I'm really filled up with a lot of ideas that I'm confident will improve search everything. I haven't even pondered over them in extreme detail, but i know that those ideas are currently missing and people other than me must be wanting them too. Please let me know the appropriate communication r...

Find files with the exact same filename (extensions may differ)
Hi As the subject says I'd like to find files with the exact filename in a specified location. Example 1 : If a folder has videos with subtitles that have same name as the video, the results will show both the .mkv and .srt files. Example 2 : If a folder has videos with subtitles and posters with sa...

Re: Provide global hotkey for search in current folder
The native way of achieving this (using /hotkey_explorer_path_search=1) by assigning a hotkey within everything's settings will take control globally, i.e in my case Ctrl+F is overridden everywhere (i found out when i tried searching for some text in Chrome and used the shortcut). So is it safe to a...

Re: Provide global hotkey for search in current folder
pressing an Everything hotkey that shows an Everything search window from a Windows Explorer window ok, so this was not super clear on what exactly the hotkey is or where you can set one. For anyone else who didn't know, the hotkey being referred to can be created under: Tools>Options>General>Keybo...

Re: How to quickly select multiple volumes to search
Thank you for the quick response. Its good to hear that. Any tentative month or quarter for such an update? Also is there a way to quickly restrict the search to just the local volumes OR just the network shares, I know a list of all indexes with checkbox can once again solve this issue. I'd like to...

How to quickly select multiple volumes to search
Lets say I have 8 volumes in total, 2 internal and 6 network shares I have these network shares indexed. What I really need in this case to get meaningful results is to be able to narrow down the volumes from which search results will be displayed. There are two ways I can use to search: Start Every...
