mapping EPT server results to match local map letter

Post by yoyomaah »

Just trying Everything for the first time.

Purpose:
To provide fast filename search for around 30 employees who shares access to a 1000GB network folder.
The network folder is mapped on each desktop computer as drive W:

Questions:
1. I can see that Everything is not maintained anymore. Is the EPT server stable and reliable enough for daily, professional use?
2. The search results provided by the EPT server shows file server name + the full path on the file server. This is not useful when the clients display the results. I would like to be able to translate the first part of the EPT path. e.g. translate EPT path \\SERVERNAME\C\DIR1\DIR2\FILE to something that fits the locally mapped driver letter e.g.: W:DIR2\FILE.
Is this possible with the current options?

Or how do others, if any, use EPT server in a professional shared environment?

Thanks,
Kristian
