[REVOLSED] Out of memory - mem.c(734) mem_alloc()

Post by Loial » Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:05 pm

Hi everyone,

I've noticed a few users have encountered this issue in the past, but I couldn't find recent posts. I've recently changed my work PC and after installing Search Everything it crashes out of memory while doing the initial database build on the "setup files" step at the end, every single time.

Any possibility of getting support to fix this issue? This tool has been a lifesaver and I can't imagine not having it for my daily workflow.

Here are my specs:

Search Everything Version: 1.4.1.1002 (x86)
Windows 10 Entreprise
64GB RAM
Page File Size (all drives included): 29713 MB
C:\ Drive: 320GB free out of 471GB
D:\ Drive: 317GB free out of 5.45TB
E:\ Drive: 381GB free out of 5.45TB
G:\ Drive: 362GB free out of 953GB

Here is the debug output (without running as admin, but I've also ran as admin and encountered the same issue):

You are running the 32-bit version of Everything. 32-bit applications can only address a limited amount of RAM (2-3GB).
With this many files, you can better switch to the 64-bit version of Everything.

Does the issue persist when running the 64-bit version?
