everything app update with ninite

everything app update with ninite

I use Ninite to update my apps. It won't update Everything because it says it is "running/locked." I have made sure there are no apps running, but I don't know what it means if an app is locked. How do I unlock Everything so I can update it?

I'm not sure how Ninite updates apps or how it is updating Everything.

This issue will most likely occur when Everything.exe is still running in the background.
Most likely as another user. The Everything installer will not close Everything.exe processes for other users.

Please try logging out all Windows users except your main Windows account.

Alternatively, try using the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + ESC) to end any existing Everything.exe processes. Please make sure you show process from all users.

It could also be the Everything Service is still running.
The official installer should stop the Everything Service before updating.

Does the issue persist?
