Files not found when Searching Drive pools storage locations

Post by bnwbass »

Is there a work around for searching storage locations such as Drive Pools.
Data is stored in standard NTFS files on each individual disk in the pool. The data is simply stored in a hidden folder under the root directory.
Is the reason search everything does not expose files because the pool hides the directory?

thx

Bumping a thread within a couple of days is considered rude behaviour. Let alone within 3 hours ...
Don't do that again. Not on this forum, not on any other forum.
Beside: be aware that not everyone lives in your timezone. Or even on the same continent.

To answer your question: Use the search function of this forum.

What software are you using to create the pool?

If this is a storage space with a simple pool you should be able to add it to your Everything index as a normal NTFS volume:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the NTFS tab on the left.
  • Select your storage space simple pool drive.
  • Check Include in database.
  • Click OK.
