Indexing Temporary Internet Files

Post by rfast10430 »

Is the program supposed to index files in the Temporary Internet Files folder?

My index apparently doesn't include this directory but I have nothing excluded.

"Everything" should index all your files and folders on all your NTFS volumes.

Please check all your NTFS volumes for errors.

To check your NTFS volumes for errors:
  • Open My Computer.
  • For each NTFS volume:
    • Right click.
    • Click Properties.
    • Click the Tools tab.
    • Click Check Now....
    • Check Automatically fix file system errors.
    • Click Start.
Try forcing "Everything" to rebuild its database.

To force "Everything" to rebuilds its database:
  • Exit "Everything".
  • Delete your Everything.db file in your "Everything" installation folder.
  • Restart "Everything".

It indexes them beautifully. That is how I find and kill them.

SE on Content.IE5 with paths enabled, sort by name and highlight all the crazy named folders and shift-delete. Poof they are gone!
