Everything hangs for a while

Everything hangs for a while

Hi All,
I have Everything indexing a NAS system through mapped folders. I am not indexing local folders or drives.
I do not have the service running.
I have Version 1.4.1.935 (x64)
Sometimes... after doing a search, I will try to open a found file. This is when the waiting starts. Sometime it will be a few seconds other times it will be a few minutes.
If I kill the app in task manager, the file or folder open right away.
This does not always happen, so I know that makes it hard to troubleshoot.
Any suggestions?

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

  • Keep track of what file types this is happening with (.doc? .pdf? .mp3? folders?)
    If you can narrow it down: it could be caused by some entry in the context-menu of that file type.
    If you right-click that file in File Explorer, does the context menu show right away or also with a delay?
  • The disks of your NAS might have spun down ("sleep mode") and need to "wake up" first.

Could you please try running Everything in debug mode:
  • In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
    /debug
  • What is shown in the debug console when Everything hangs?
