Copy path but not name of found file using an action?

Post by burgundy »

Is it possible for Everything to copy the path to the clipboard but not the file name? I mean using a shortcut, such as the mouse middle click, rather than the context menu.

There is an entry in Options > Context Menu > Copy Path To Clipboard but I am unable to enter a command for it.

And if needed you can also enable Double quote copy as path (under Menu:Tools > Options > Results )

I see I was trying to assign a shortcut to a menu item but unsuccessfully.

Your suggestion works nicely. Thank you.

Very nice option. Thanks for pointing it out.

Time and again I find Everything's design has thought out in advance many of my needs. It's a real tribute to the completeness of the application.

Well done to David and also to any other people who have helped with the development.
