how to use command line version

Post by Avi-Aryan »

Hi,

I have downloaded es.exe but can't understand how do I use it.

How to search with it ?
How to see which items match the search results ?
How to do all other common stuffs ?
Where is the documentation related to it ?

First of all the Path should be set in the Environment variables (please google it to find how it is for your OS) , to your working es.exe folder. Then in the command prompt mode just typing es dude will list the files having the name dude. All the other search syntaxes for Everything works well in the command mode too , I believe. Everything main program should be RUNNING for es.exe to work.

It will not be much of use unless you are working with batch files and intend trapping the results into some other text file or filtering the results for further import.
