Progress bar when indexing/searching large folders

When I search a large folder/external media that hasn't been indexed, sometimes Everything gets a bit slow. However, there's no feedback to show that Everything is indeed searching, and that it just hasn't found anything yet, as opposed to not having found anything at all. Sometimes folders just don't show up yet because they're still being indexed but Everything doesn't show that. Can we get some kind of feedback?
