Searching a NAS ?

Post by casework » Tue Jul 20, 2010 12:06 pm

Hello everyone@Everything,

I saw a post just down the page about a network drive but is this the same as a Network Attached Storage drive that's formatted as NTFS?

Before I take the plunge and buy a NAS i'm just checking if it will be possible to use Everything to search it from my laptop when the NAS is connected to the router.

Appologies if this is a newb question; I'm new to networks.
also, good work on the program, it's absolutely incredible.

I am sorry, but the NAS cannot be searched at this time by Everything. They can actually be formatted in a variety of ways and the programming within the NAS takes care of getting them to you in a fashion that windows understands. Alas -- no parameters for everything to search. One big drawback to NAS. I know, I have one.
