Re: How to autmatically order by path?

I check .exe version 1.4.0.713b (x86) and your settings entry always_keep_sort=1 works, after starting Everything I have ordered by path - so maybe the problem is the 64bit version. Check the yet new beta.

Explain what you mean precisely - if you want the default order was by path instead of name column? - or occasionally with some phrases.

P.S. I do not check the exe because it's 64bit (not written about it) and I have 32bit

@Hoare

Defragment MFT - the drive will be in better shape - type in Google defragment MFT and you will find several programs.

And as for installing it in the folder where you have Everything, replace 713b to 714b portable and will work.

I propose to increase the precision of the display size, that is: Everything now displays 12.1 MB (GB/KB) and I want to 12.17 MB (GB/KB), while for 1-9 MB (GB/KB) is OK. Only from 10-100 and upwards MB (GB/KB) displays one digit after the decimal point.

1.4 very differently database indexes than 1.3 - if you have both versions in the same folder, and the same database they replace each other. Use of one or second another location. David will explain it better.
