It's a nuisance to search for both "encyclopedia" and "encyclopaedia", etc.

I have set Everything not to show links in the results by specifying .lnk (in Options > Indexes > Exclude).

Can I override this by for a single search, without disabling the entire exclude list?

Perhaps there's a parameter I can use in my search statement to force Everything to include links?

"Size format" in View Options can be KB or Bytes.

Is this value used when no entry is made in the "size" search parameter when searching?

For example
size:>8000
I have got "size format" set to KB, but when I use the "size" search parameter I have to enter KB or it will use Bytes.

Is it possible to make a custom FILTER list all matching results even if I do not enter a search term?

For other searches I do not want to see any results unless I enter a term. This means I wish to keep the setting enabled for "Hide results when the search is empty".

In Everything , type in the following search and press ENTER : /max_threads=1 If successful you should see max_threads=1 in the status bar for a few seconds. I sometimes need to repeat that max threads setting. Can the setting get undone? How can I check the current number of threads Everything uses?

When Everything is behind with keeping up what was typed, the idea is to stop whatever Everything was doing when an ENTER was pressd and continue with the entire serach query that was typed. The date syntax on that page permits "/" as a delimiter within the date string but that doesn't work. Nor do date constants work (such as "today"). Does this work for you? I am using WinXP and my defragger finds this file is highly fragments with 80 parts:

I get duplicate entries in the results if I specify a folder in Options and also the same drive in Options.

Is there a way to remove these duplicate results?

It would be useful to suspend all named folders for such occasions, in the same way as for the Exclude list.

I have a very old AMD Duron 1800 processor which has no SSE2 support. I run WinXP. The setting for max threads seems to change. I set it to "1" but some time later I noticed Everything was sluggish again so I reset max threads to "1" and it improved. Does some action on Everything change max threads?
