Re: using silent installation switch (/S) with new version 1.4.1.999 causes showing the Help-Window
I've been getting this same issue too when doing silent/automated installs, and have tried to suppress it as it breaks my batch installer. Great to know what it's from and there's a fix! I'll also try the nightly build, as well. Thanks!

"Exclude Folder" filter object getting converted to folder object
When using the "Exclude Folder" function, I use filter-objects most of the time since I have a number of repeated cache folders across a various number of browsers and browser profiles. When adding a filter, afterwards you can go back and click "Edit", and it'll still show you the edit-filter dialog...

Show resulting filters from an Advanced search inline
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when doing an advanced search, there are some search properties that don't get inserted inline into the search box after the advanced-search window closes. This has a negative impact for two reasons: It can become confusing afterward since there's no visible indication o...

Re: Use the power of Everything in Explorer and File dialogs
I am a user of Listary and found JumpToFolder from its forum. This program is quite a great alternative of Listary. I wonder if you have any intention of implementing some more useful functions in Listary called "Quick Switch". When a file dialog is opened and you have another Explorer window opene...

Possible to do potential-wildcard-but-maybe-not in folder paths?
I like using the folder path quick-search ability, such as "\AppData". However, sometimes I only know that part of a word is in the folder name, so I try to do a wildcard folder path, like "\*cache*" (if I'm looking for files in folders that have "cache" in their name. But when trying to use a wildc...

Possible to add ability for also inverting the *search terms*?
Would it be possible to add a keyboard shortcut ability that inverts the search? For example, if I have a search consisting of: \Cache \Firefox \System32 Then pressing the "Invert" keyboard shortcut, e.g. CTRL-SHIFT-I, inverts each of those terms, adding an "!" in front of each of them, like so: !\C...

Possible to use wildcard in path separator search?
I often use the path-separator ability to quickly whittle down a large resultant search set by excluding certain folders, e.g.: Search: sqlite But then seeing too many recently-modified files in the results from %AppData%\Firefox\Cache, causing the search results to "spam" cache file entries, I'll t...

I'm trying to find some particular text in a folder full of log files, but it seems that the "contents:" ability isn't using regex or wildcards. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks. What's the purpose/difference then between filters and bookmarks? It looks like bookmarks are basically just filters with more configurable options. I must be missing something, however.

Keyboard shortcut to "Everything-Search this current folder"
I love the Everything context menu option that can be accessed in explorer/file folders to limit the scope of the search to that folder. Would it be possible to implement an ability to attach a user-definable Everything keyboard shortcut to this ability natively?

Ability to include a sorting option with a user-created Filter
I have a custom filter which shows me the most recently modified/created files happening right now on my machine, but with a number of folders excluded, like browser cache folders (which overwhelm this ability with their fast/frequent writes). This is useful for finding wherever some program I'm usi...

Is it possible to trigger a re-indexing of a particular subfolder (of a folder that's already scheduled to be indexed)? Re: Apps start as ADMIN don't get focus and foreground
Fred (or anyone), could you explain what you mean by using Everything as your default app launcher for app links in %AppData%? Good idea, I'll check file system activity the next time it happens and report back, along with the function offsets.
For reference, I'm using v.851b. But this was also happening with 809b (I was hoping the nightly would fix it).

Closing debug window exits Everything
Currently, if there's a debug window open, if you click the "X" at the top right of the window, it closes Everything as a program vs. just the debugging window. Everything crashes at least a few times every week. This is what debug says when it's crashing (taken from two different occurren...
